Creating a clean drapes and knots style web header.

Start by creating a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.

Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Select Bulge from the preset warp shapes on top bar. Apply settings as shown.

Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select rotate 90° CW. Press Ctrl+T again. Right click the layer and select warp. Select Bulge from the preset warp shapes on top bar. Apply settings as shown.

Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.

You should now have a faded shape like the one below.

Create drapes surrounding this shape using pen tool. We used two colors - orange and grey - you can use different colours to suit your project or work.

Similar to the step above but creating the bottom slope for balance. Also overlaying with multi-level drapes as well.

Select orange shape layer at the right. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.

Similarly apply gradient overlay on the rest of the orange and grey layers. Play around with their gradient angles according to the shape of drapes.

Create a circle for the knot between drapes. Apply gradient overlay as explained above.

Select orange shape layer at the right. Ctrl+Click the layer thumbnail to get the selection. From select menu apply modify>>contract. Contract the selection by 5 pixels.

Create a new layer and apply a black to white gradient in linear mode.

Change the layer mode to screen.

Similarly create a shining layer for rest of the drapes shape layers.

Type link names over the green shape layer.

Using custom shape tool select any nice design preset and place above the link names. We used Fleur-Di-Lis preset shape.

Place company logo over the white space at top left corner.
