In this tutorial we'll create a logo for a men's site with simulated 3D look.

1. Basic Shape

Create a circle using elliptical shape tool.

Select custom shape tool. From the preset shapes menu on options bar at the top select "Male Symbol".

2. Digging the Hole

Enable "subtract from shape area" at the top bar.

Create this shape over the circle to create a hole in circle in shape of male symbol.

Press Ctrl+T. Right Click and select perspective. Adjust the nodes to create a shape as shown.

3. Enter the Third Dimension

Press and hold Alt key and keep pressing down arrow key to create 3D extrusion.

Select and merge all duplicate layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.

Select original layer. Move this layer above all the layers in layer order in layer palette.

4. All's Well that Ends Well

Type the site or company name. Use 3D symbol as replacement of "O" in BOYZ.

Double click the text layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.

If you have followed the above instructions, this is what it should look like.
